Hello, cake lovers! Today we want to share with you one of Debbie’s latest creations: a pink toadstool chocolate cake for a birthday. This cake was inspired by the magical fairy-tale theme, and it was so much fun making it.
The cake itself is a moist and rich chocolate sponge, filled with chocolate buttercream and covered in pink fondant. A round cake tin was used for the base and a dome-shaped cake tin for the top of the toadstool. Then cut out some white fondant circles and stuck them on the pink dome to create the classic toadstool look.
To decorate the cake, I added some sugar-paste flowers and the number nine, as well as some green fondant grass around the base. Debbie also made a cute little door and window.
The cake was a big hit at the party, and everyone loved the whimsical design and the delicious chocolate flavour. So happy to see the smile on the birthday girl’s face when she saw her cake. It was truly a magical moment.
