Here At Cakes by Debbie, we love making cakes that are not only delicious, but also beautiful and unique. That’s why we were delighted when we received an order for a fruitcake with a knitting theme.

The cake was made with our rich and moist fruitcake, covered with marzipan and icing. To make it extra special, we decorated it with handmade knitting needles made from icing, with a handmade ball of wool and the start of a blanket. The knitting needles and the wool were made with different colours of icing, so they looked very realistic and colourful.

The cake was a gift for the Knit and Natter group for their 1st year as a group! They meet in the public once a month where both experts and beginners can go along to enjoy knitting and chatting to others.
