We love making cakes for children’s birthdays when they have a favourite character or theme that they want to see on their cake. That’s why we were so excited to make this cake for a little girl who loves Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom, a popular cartoon show.

The cake was a chocolate sponge cake with chocolate buttercream, which is one of our most requested flavours by kids and adults alike. The cake was shaped like a ladybird, which is one of the main characters in the show. We used red and black icing to create the ladybird’s body and spots, and added some details like eyes, and antennae.
