For this special celebration, Debbie created a delicious three-layer strawberry sponge cake, packed full of flavour and perfect for a summer birthday. Each soft sponge layer was filled with sweet strawberry jam and smooth strawberry buttercream, creating a beautifully balanced cake that was as tasty as it was beautiful.
The birthday girl is a huge fan of Jellycat, so the cake design took inspiration from the charm and whimsy that makes Jellycat characters so loved. The finished cake featured delightful handmade decorations that added a fun and playful touch to the design.
One of the standout features was the collection of handcrafted cherries, carefully made to complement the cake’s strawberry theme. Debbie also created a beautiful candle decoration, adding an extra celebratory element and making the cake a true centrepiece for the birthday party.
