At Cakes by Debbie, we love creating celebration cakes that are as unique as the people they’re made for. Recently, we had the pleasure of making a gorgeous birthday cake inspired by the birthday girl’s favourite colour, lilac, resulting in a stunning design that was both elegant and personal.
This bespoke birthday cake featured soft layers of light and fluffy vanilla sponge, filled with smooth vanilla buttercream and sweet strawberry jam for a classic flavour combination that’s always a crowd-pleaser. The cake was then generously covered in creamy vanilla buttercream, creating the perfect canvas for the beautiful decorations.
To bring the birthday girl’s vision to life, Debbie decorated the cake with delicate lilac lettering, pretty butterflies, elegant ribbon detailing, and carefully placed flowers. The soft lilac tones gave the cake a sophisticated yet whimsical feel, making it a real centrepiece for the celebration.
