At Cakes by Debbie, every cake tells a story – and our latest creation is no exception! We were delighted to recently fulfil a truly charming order inspired by everyone’s favourite honey-loving bear, Winnie the Pooh.
A Whimsical Design Brought to Life
This bespoke cake was designed to look just like Pooh’s iconic “hunny” jar. Debbie carefully crafted the cake to resemble a rustic pot overflowing with golden honey, complete with beautiful edible drips cascading down the sides. The glossy finish gave it that irresistible, sticky-sweet look that immediately brings the Hundred Acre Wood to mind.
To make the cake even more special, it featured an edible printed image of Winnie the Pooh himself, adding a nostalgic and heartwarming touch. Surrounding the jar were delicate, handmade bees, each carefully crafted and placed to look as though they were happily buzzing around their sweet treasure.
Delicious Inside and Out
While the outside was a feast for the eyes, the inside was just as indulgent. This cake was made with a light and fluffy vanilla sponge, layered generously with classic strawberry jam. The combination is always a winner – simple, comforting, and loved by all ages.
